How to purchase Hexarchia NFTs on Opensea.io using Polygon/Matic

We are proud to announce that the minting process of all the 1000 Genesis NFTs has been succesfully completed. In addition to that, the first 100 Genesis NFTs have been awarded to the Winners of the first Hexarchia Giveaway. The Winners of the Giveaway will now find their NFTs on their Polygon-compatible wallets.
You can start to trade them immediately, or hodl them. As we have stated during the Twitch LIVE last Tuesday, the Genesis Set will be playable in-game starting from the Beta of Hexarchia. During the pre-Alpha and Alpha they will be only tradable. We thought it was a good idea to write down an article to show to you how to connect your Ethereum wallet to the Polygon/Matic Mainnet and then what steps are needed to send some of your ETH from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Matic Mainnet. The Polygon network is the best solution on the market to pay super cheap gas fees rather than very costly transaction fees. In the short term, it will not be possible to buy Hexarchia NFTs from the Ethereum Mainnet, you need your ETH to be on the Matic Mainnet. Let’s see how it works!
CREATE A METAMASK WALLET:
First of all, you need to have a Polygon/Matic wallet. It’s very easy to generate one. The best solution is to get a Metamask Wallet.
- Install the Metamask extension to you browser at the following link: https://metamask.io/download.html. All major browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefow, Brave and Edge are supported.
Now that the Metamask extension is installed in your browser, you will see a cute orange fox extenstion on top-right of your browser page. Congratulations, you are entering the Web 3.0!
2. Create a password for your wallet. Make sure to use a difficult password that you have not adopted elsewhere. It will be needed to protect your wallet.
3. Now that you have created your password, you will have to accept the terms of use and you will then receive a very important secret phrase. Thanks to this 12 words (the seed phrase) you will be able to restore and backup your Ethereum address wherever you want.
These 12 words are to be protected carefully since anyone with them will be able to get access to your wallet permanently and forever. That’s why we encourage you not to save it on your laptop but preferably on another safe place. A good place to save it is a piece of paper.
Once you have saved it, you will have to click “next” and to confirm the same words in the same order as a verification that you have them. Congratulations, you’ve just installed your Metamask Wallet.
CONNECT YOUR ETHEREUM WALLET TO THE MATIC NETWORK:
- Open your Metamask wallet, click on the Network selection dropdown and then click on Custom RPC.
- Now you are almost done. All you have to do is to fill the empty spaces with the following information:
3. Now, click on Save and, you are finished. Good job! As you see it’s super easy, you will be able to jump from the Etheruem Mainner to the Matic Mainnet in a matter of milliseconds. It’s really user-friendly.
TRANSFER YOUR ETHER FROM THE ETHEREUM MAINNET TO THE MATIC MAINNET:
Important prerequisite: To transfer you Ethers (ETH) from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Matic Mainnet you will need both Matic coins and Ethers on you Ethereum address. They are needed to pay gas fees. Let’s see how it works!
First of all, you will need to visit the following website: https://wallet.matic.network/
Once you are there, you will need to sign-in by using your Metamask Wallet.
- Click on the “Deposit” button and choose the amout of Ether to deposit from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Matic Mainnet.
You can see the selected bridge type on “Transfer Mode”. You can change the “Transfer Mode” if you want deposit your funds on particular bridge type(PoS or Plasma). Once you click on “Switch Bridge” link it will open “Choose Transfer Mode” popup where you can see the Bridge types-Plasma Bridge and PoS Bridge.
Once you have added the amount that you want to deposit and selected the Bridge type, you can then click on the “Transfer” button.
After you click on the “Transfer” button, you need to click on the “continue” button on “Important(Deposit Disclaimer)” popup.
Once you click “Continue” from “Important” popup, you will see a “Transfer Overview” popup with the information of Estimation of total gas required for the transaction
Click on the “Continue” button from “Transfer Overview” popup and you will see a popup opening, similar to the previous one where you can review your transaction details.
Click on the “Continue” button from “Confirm Transfer” popup.
After you click on the “Continue” button, you need to confirm all your transactions in your MetaMask to make the transaction successful
Once you confirm the transaction, you will see a “Transfer in Progress” popup which will show you the Deposit status. It will take ~7–8 minutes for the tokens to show up on Matic.
You can close the “Transfer in Progress” popup and you can see the transaction in the “Action required” section on the header component. Click on the “Action Required” link from the header.You can see the below popup.
You can see the details on the transaction itself. Click on the latest transaction to see the “Transfer In progress” popup. Once Deposit transaction status is successful, status of the transaction changes to “Success”
Now that you have succesfully transferred your Ethers from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Matic Mainnet, you will be able to purchase on opeansea.io Hexarchia NFTs that have been minted on Polygon.
